About the course

STARTING ON WEDNESDAY 6TH JANUARY 2021

8PM - 9.15PM

An online 6 week life changing programme designed to support you in understanding and managing the effects of emotional stress and anxiety. Combining practical tools with holistic lifestyle education, this unique course aims to educate, inspire and empower you to live the calmer, happier life that you desire. When you feel good on the inside this reflects on the outside. Your mental health affects everything. From the way you show up in your day to day life, to how you speak to those you love around you. 

 

Life is so short, you deserve to feel able to live each day to the fullest. Yet you and I both know that when stress and anxiety takes over, it can put you in survival mode and the last thing on your mind is savoring every moment.

 

The knowledge, tools and insights that you will discover in this course will revolutionise the way you think about your own mental health journey equipping you with your very own holistic wellness toolkit for life.

What to expect

In this 6 week course you will be guided through the 7 pillars of The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Philosophy building up your own self awareness, insights and toolkit to effectively manage the day to day effects of emotional stress and anxiety.  Centered on mindful living and combining deep relaxation, breathing and mindfulness techniques with neuroscience, lifestyle education, and nutrition, these principles offer a simple, integrative and holistic approach to support you in living a calmer, happier life.

 

Whether you are feeling on the verge of emotional burnout, are currently taking antidepressants, or are simply seeking a more proactive and natural approach to managing the stress and anxiety in your everyday life, the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. philosophy is designed to meet you where you are currently at. 

In a world in which we are conditioned to believe that the only way to heal or ‘fix’ our mental and emotional wellbeing is to hand over our power to healthcare professionals, often in return for a handful of pills, I want to share with you an alternative to that narrative.  I believe that we are our own greatest teachers.  When we learn to slow down, listen to our bodies, assess our deepest needs, and choose to educate ourselves in the ways our minds and bodies work, it is possible to become the steward of ourselves, to make our own decisions and to feel empowered in navigating our mental and emotional health.

WEEK ONE

INTRODUCTION

  • Introduction to The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Philosophy

  • Defining a holistic approach to supporting your mental and emotional health

  • Understanding stress and anxiety

  • Uncovering the root of your stress and anxiety

  • A 4 step process to taking ownership over your mental/emotional health.

WEEK TWO

(B) Boundaries

  • Understanding boundaries and why you need them to support your mental & emotional health 

  • Identifying what you value and learning to set boundaries in line with those principles

  • Learning to say no 

  • Letting go of people pleasing

  • Prioritising your own needs alongside everyone else's

  • Establishing a work/life balance

  • Managing boundaries around social media and phone use

WEEK THREE

(R) Relaxation, (E) Exercise

  • Understanding the mind/body connection and the impact of emotional stress on physical health

  • Relaxation, essential oils and breathing techniques to support the activation of the relaxation response

  • Implementing a relaxation routine

  • The power of informal and formal mindfulness

  • Breaking free from autopilot and learning to live in the moment

  • Understanding neuroplasticity, the power of your mind and how to work with your brain instead of against it when you are dealing with emotional stress & anxiety

  • How to retrain anxious thoughts to regain more calm and control

  • Practical, effective solutions for organising your time and calming a busy, overactive mind

  • Understanding the value of time and learning how to prioritise the things you value in life

  • The relationship between passion/purpose and mental health

  • Pursuing your passion

  • Living life with a strong purpose

WEEK FIVE

(H) Health

  • Eating for a healthy brain and body

  • The relationship between gut health and mental health

  • The role of your microbiome

  • The impact of stress on the digestive system

  • An introduction to your happy hormones and the relationship between these, food and your mental health

  • The importance of mindful eating for good mental health

  • Cutting out the C.R.A.P.

  • Identifying and exploring the 5 key environments that can significantly impact your mental and emotional health

  • Practical tips and solutions for supporting your environment to induce less stress and more calm

About the founder

Hi lovely,

I'm Hannah, former school teacher turned holistic life coach, mindfulness facilitator and functional nutrition practitioner.  I specialise in educating and empowering busy women to actively start taking a holistic approach to understanding and managing the effects of emotional stress and anxiety in every day life.

 

After struggling with my own mental wellbeing in 2016 following the birth of my second son and experiencing severe post natal depression, stress and anxiety, I began to seek out my own holistic pathway to regaining control of my mental and emotional health.

 

Throughout my studies and personal wellness journey I began to document everything that I was learning until one day I found myself staring at 7 key principles that were having a profound impact on my ability to manage the emotional stress and anxiety present in my life. Upon showing my husband, he remarked that the pillars spelled out the word B.R.EA.T.H.E. and from that moment, the philosophy was born. Since then I have  been weaving these pillars into my life, carving out a lifestyle centered around finding more calm and helping hundreds of women to do the same along the way.
